Thanks to french website jeuxpo.com, we have learned that Ubisoft France revealed that a new Prince of Persia game is coming for the Wii. While no specifics have been announced yet, considering Ubisoft’s current lineup of games, it could very well be a completely new title.
While it could also be a remake of one of the last titles released this generation, it would be foolish to do so as these titles have already been on store shelves for some time now and wouldn’t probably sell as much as a totally new game tailored specifically for the Wii.
Ubisoft’s support for the Wii seems really strong and with 7 titles confirmed for launch window as well as this new title, it seems that Nintendo’s blue ocean strategy has reached all over the world and that companies are embracing Nintendo’s philosophy. Ubisoft being one of the biggest 3rd parties, it could very well open the way to more developers who were still on the fence thinking whether or not they should be bringing their titles to the Wii.
This is very good news for Nintendo fans and with the Leipzig games convention coming later this month, even more titles will be announced for the upcoming console.
