Should we brace for another “super” failure?

It has finally been confirmed that Electronic Arts is working on the next game adaptation of the popular DC Comic superhero in Superman. More interesting though, is the job of creating the game has been given to EA Tiburon. EA Tiburon is the division responsible for the Madden franchise. A rather intriguing idea to say the least.

Superman Returns happens to be the game in development for current consoles as well as the XBox 360. Also not surprisingly is the game directly correlates with the upcoming movie from Warner Bros. The game will obviously take on the story of the movie, but also feature 60 years’ worth of comic book material. It is set to ship in conjunction with the movie’s release on June 30, 2006.

The film is being directed by Brian Singer, the man responsible for the X-Men movies. Kate Bosworth will be our next Lois Lane and none other than Brandon Routh will be the new Man of Steel.
