New DS Colors For Japan

Nintendo Spin has just been informed that Nintendo will release 4 new DS colors in Japan. While everyone already knew that Nintendo would eventualy release new colors for it’s latest handheld there hadn’t been any confirmation until now.

While this has only been announced for Japan we are led to believe that it will come to the US really soon. In fact, a lot of people expect Nintendo of America to reveal something similar close to the PSP launch. For those who can’t wait though, since the DS is region free and that in the past some GBASP colors have been exclusive to Japan it could be a good decision to import.

On March 24, both the Graphite Black and the Pure White will be released. Then, nearly one month later, Nintendo will release both the turquoise Blue and Candy Pink.

With 4 new colors DS sells might get a slight boost as some people with different tastes might prefer the newest colors, especially the white one since it has been a very popular color as seen with the I-Pod.

Nintendo Spin hopes to have official news soon from Nintendo of America concerning a stateside release.
