This wednesday, in a business meeting, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata revealed that the next Mario Party game, Mario Party 6, would be playable without the use of the GameCube controller.
Mr Iwata said that the reason behind this is that “In the past, there have been people who have felt controllers are hard to deal with and did not play games, but this (game) will seek to appeal to those people.”
There has been lot of talks lately of Nintendo releasing a new peripheral. From what has been revealed, this new peripheral will be a camera accessory similar to Sony’s Eyetoy. The Eyetoy has sold pretty well worldwide since it’s launch, being extremely popular with the casual gamer.
More as it develops.
