Japanese Software Sales for 2/19 – 2/25

— Posted by Jesse MacVicar

This weeks Japanese software sales look a bit off from what we’re used to. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd for the PSP debuted at an astounding 705k units sold. But, what’s this? Four Wii titles managed to break into the top 10? Unheard of! Fire Emblem: Goddess of the Dawn leading the pack with 75k units sold, with Wii Sports, Naruto, and Wii Play (creeping up on that 1 million sales mark) trailing behind. Professor Layton for the Nintendo DS is still fairing pretty well after topping out last weeks chart. Interesting sales numbers; expect a resurgence of at least one PS3 game next week with that new Gundam title coming out.
