Nintendo recently held a video contest asking participants to create a 3-5 minute short dealing in all things Nintendo. The Top 10 entries were just revealed with the announcement of the grand prize winner due in a few days. This lucky director will receive $10,000, a trip to New York, and the usual free Nintendo systems. These videos are up for viewing and voting on the official website: Nintendo Short Cuts Showcase.

I am very disappointed in the videos that won. Granted, this comes from someone who entered the contest himself, but those I considered to be the biggest competition--a live-action Punch-Out trailer, an amusing Captain Planet spoof, a look at the game-pitching process--didn't even make it. For shame...
