DS Sales + Nintendogs Famitsu Score

Thanks to the release of Nintendogs as well as Naruto and the new DS colors, DS sales have been up this week. According to Media Create, DS sold 96,000 units for April 18-24 which is more than the PS2 and PSP combined. When adding GBA sales to that it means that Nintendo has sold over 100,000 handhelds that week. Nintendo’s sold a little over 182,000 copies counting all 3 version of the game, making it the fastest selling title for the DS.

Something else that is well worth mentioning is the fact that Nintendogs got a perfect score of 40/40 from Magazine Famitsu. While we do not have any more details about the review, we do know that the reviewers are usually really harsh and that only 3 other games have obtained a perfect score in the past: Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Vagrant Story and Soul Calibur.
