Hopefully, it won't be! Even though Acclaim's profits have gone down in 2004 and were worse than in 2003, there is still some hope.
The companies got a strong lineup coming out this year and, if all goes as planned, they might make some profits. They are also looking for new financement since the one they currently have is coming to an end soon, and if they can't secure a new one, they might have to file for bankruptcy.
It's funny how it seems to happen a lot lately. Midway has had a hard time, 3D0 went bankrupt and had to sell all of it's franchises, and now the same could happen to Acclaim. The company behind the Turok games seemed to be in much better shape last generation.
Let's hope they find some financement and keep on as they were and still are a great company.
