Next Game Boy In Development

David Gosen of Nintendo Europe said today at the ELSPA Games Summit that “New Game Boy iterations are under review right now, before the first DS is sold”.

If the DS underperforms and that the PSP eats too much marketshare from Nintendo, they might release the Next Game Boy earlier. That means that the release date of the next Game Boy would depend on how well the Nintendo DS performs.

Even though lots of people really thought that DS was the successor of the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo has now confirmed what it’s been telling us for some time now, that the DS really is a third pillar.
