This was a month were tons of titles were released, but not all of those are actually worth your time and money.
In terms of import titles, "One Piece: Gear Spirit" is a game that you should surely skip. It turns out being slightly better than the last Naruto fighting game, which makes it plainly disappointing.
It features tons of unlockable characters and lots of cards, details which may remind you of "Jump Ultimate Stars", but unfortunately there's absolutely no connection, in terms of quality, between the two titles.
Even if you're a fan of such anime series, feel free to skip this fighting adventure, which doesn't even feature any storyline at all.
The new "Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon" (known outside Japan as "Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon") comes in "Time" and "Darkness" flavours, both of which were released for the Nintendo DS, unlike what happened with its predecessor.
Unfortunately, the game still resembles its prequel. Now, you'll be accomplishing missions for a guild, most of which are focused on exploration, instead of rescue missions. The game basics are still the same, but at least you can now use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for Rescue Missions - horray, no more typing incredibly large codes!
The number of monsters available has increased, with your team being able to befriend up to 493 different species. Well, not every of those is available in a single cart, but I'm sure you get what I mean.
At this moment, there's no set date for a Western Release of this game. So, in case you're willing to support some minor Japanese text (which, above everything else, makes it hard to understand what items you're working with), feel free to import it.
Now available in America, the new "Digimon World" is a mildly amusing title. Either if you go for the "Dawn" or "Dusk" versions, tons of customization and levelling awaits you. Some problems of the previous title were fixed, but new ones were added.
If you're a fan of the series, or like games with extreme customization of stats, this title is for you. Otherwise, stay away from it.
A mention should be done to "Drawn to Life". This is a game where you get to draw your own character. Across the platform levels of the game, you also get to paint some elements of the scenario and fully draw others. Sounds great, hum?
Well, it just isn't - the previously-stated platform levels are too easy but just too long, making the game predictable and uninteresting, where the 'drawing' turns out being nothing more than a small gimmick. Obviously, such gameplay is not as good as it sounded and you'd better skip this game.
Finally, there's "Worms: Open Warfare 2". Featuring lots of unlockables and online play (via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection), this game may keep you happy for quite a while. If you're uncertain about what game to get, I strongly suggest you give this one a look - it is one of those titles that is better understood by seeing some videos - as it is one of the best ones released in recent times.
That's all, for now. See you next month.
